What We Know About the City (So Far)
After descending into the well in the first performance, we discovered fragments of a city that once resisted — a city now scarred, scattered, and surviving. The well still stands, unchanged. But what remains around it? What does the last street behind the well look like? How do people live there now, during the final days above ground? Much is still missing from this picture. Let’s try to find those pieces.
We’re still in the time of resistance — the city is not yet fully destroyed. Let’s imagine what this part of the surface still holds: signs of life, of struggle, of beauty, of memory.

Based on the fragments we’ve shared from the first performance, we now begin to imagine the world of the second. WE are one of the resistant residents of this city, someone who has spent time in the underground shelters of the Out Loud universe, built in the midst of an ongoing resistance. Now, you rise from the well and return to the surface. What do you see? What remains? We still have a place to shelter above ground, among the ruins. From here, we begin.
